Quality Control – How we do it.
Here at Rutland Radiators we take great pride in our quality control. When we manufacture one of our handmade towel warmers, radiators or vanity basin stands, we know that the customer is not expecting to replace it any time soon.
We also know that as we ship our products across the world, any faults could be costly and time consuming to repair.
As such, during the manufacturing process, we place a large emphasis on quality control.
Quality control starts at the beginning. By only working with the best quality materials and by employing talented craftsmen, we can be confident that we have given ourselves the best chance of succeeding.
We test and inspect each product numerous times throughout the manufacturing process. Our skilled craftsmen are empowered to raise any issues they notice during any stage of production.
There are two primary periods of quality control where the heated towel warmer or radiator is tested. The first is before the product is plated, after it has been polished.
During this test, our technicians carry out a full visual inspection on the product. Any blemishes or marks to the DZR brass are highlighted and then corrected.
There is then a further check of the product. This involves the item being sealed and submerged. It is then pressure tested to a pressure of 14 Bar. Far higher than the 4 Bar pressure you would find on a domestic heating system.
Once the product has passed this test, it is then sent to be plated.
After plating, it is then subjected to another quality control examination. This is made up of primarily a visual examination in which any marks to the plating are highlighted to then be corrected.
Once signed off by our technicians, our packing department carefully package the product, before shipping it with our carefully selected couriers.
