We have not written a “Finish in Focus” article for a while, however given the recent popularity of Brushed Copper, we thought we’d write an article on the finish.
Brushed Copper sits amongst our range of brass finishes currently on offer which also includes a Polished Copper alternative.
This finish is applied in our family-owned factory in Hampshire England. Skilled craftsmen carefully plate the heated towel rail, vanity basin stand or radiator in some of the largest tanks in the South of England.
Brushed Copper displays copper in a pure form. Its patina adds a layer of interest to a product which gives it so much more detail then a more basic finish.
The brushed finish to a large extent makes the finish more durable to scratches and marks and can conceal marks collected over a number of years.
Well suited to a number of spaces, brushed copper sits comfortably in both traditional and modern settings.
Traditionally, in times gone by, this finish has been associated with more historic and dated bathrooms – perhaps out of touch with 21st century design.
However, in recent times it has very much made a resurgence. Perhaps due to it’s pure, aesthetic, it can work well in traditional bathrooms with traditional faucets, taps and shower fittings. However, it’s vibrant colour works just as well in contemporary designs where otherwise simplistic, plain colours are used.
Similar to a number of our other finishes, maintenance of this finish is relatively easy. Using the Rutland Radiator cleaning cloths and solution will ensure your towel warmer remains in good condition through the years.
